Paul W. Kahn

Paul W. Kahn is The Robert W. Winner Professor of Law and the Humanities at Yale Law School and the Director of the Orville H. Schell, Jr. Center for International Human Rights.

Despite his generally progressive politics, Kahn has been referred to as the "world's leading conservative law scholar." This title is no doubt a consequence of Kahn's academic legal writing, which focuses on the importance of the family as the primary actor in the American Constitutional story. Kahn's prolific legal scholarship includes writings on international law, human rights, and constitutional law.

Among the student body at Yale Law School, Professor Kahn's unique teaching style and aggressive critiques of legal writing have made him among the most popular members of the faculty.

Professor Kahn teaches courses on constitutional law, human rights, and political theology.
